We made some big changes in how Rowan Patents works (and many smaller refinements too.)
Unlike Authoring v1, this new version is a desktop application. Instead of storing all of the information in Rowan’s cloud system, you can save, export, and store files to your local directory or in your document management system.
We’ve also revised the interface to be more familiar (more like Word or other desktop applications), with application menus to help make the available functionality easier to find and use.
There’s a separate window for each section of the patent application—Claims, Drawings, and Specification—so you can refer to one section while you work on another, across multiple monitors. All three sections are integrated, keeping everything in sync. And, we’ve added a much-requested flexible part numbering feature in drawings — rearrange the numbering sequence to fit your preference.
Once you have downloaded and launched the application, you can sign in using the same credentials you used previously. The TurboPatent domain is the URL for your organization which you were assigned when first signing up for TurboPatent. You will enter the first part of this, which is typically the domain use for email. e.g. for user@firm.com, the url would start with “firm”.
